Some are rounder than others, have their bottom diameters larger than their opening diameters and are different in terms of depth.

The trapezoid singing bowls used in the past were very thin, sonic and large. Later they were made to be smaller and thicker producing very sweet sounds. They are designed with straight tops and bottoms that are flat, straight and symmetrically sloped.
